Regency Jacket

These stunning jackets are perfect for finishing off everything from a Regency ball gown to a corset and leather pants.

The snug bodice stops at just the right spot in front to visually narrow your waist and lengthen your legs, and the ankle-length skirt is sewn to the back bodice with generous tucks to create a dramatic flaring silhouette when you dance or spin.

The cut-away design is wonderful for showing off a special corset or beautiful footwear.  You can also pair these jackets with a simple modern dress or jeans for eye-catching party wear.

Buttons and small details may vary slightly from item to item. If you want a specific one, please let us know.

For Regency Jackets, you can choose from the following galleries:

  • Suitings (all types)
  • Faux Suedes
  • Brocades
  • Corduroys
  • Silk Brocades.

However, for faux suedes, brocades, silk brocades, and some corduroys (which have no give at all), you’ll want to choose a coordinating Suiting, which will be used as contrast panels and sleeves to give you full mobility.  You can see what this looks like in the black and grey brocade jacket in the product photos.

Regency jackets look best when worn quite fitted through the bust and rib cage, with only 1-2 inches of ease at most.  If you’d like yours to be made to fit more tightly or loosely, please make a note of it during your order.

Sleeves are meant to be somewhat snug at the wrist and can be worn pushed up.  If your arms are very long or very short, or if you want a particular length, please make a note of this as well.  The bicep area of the sleeve has quite a bit of room as the sleeves are gathered to the shoulder, but if you’re at all concerned about it, include your arm circumference measurement in the order (in the “Notes” box) and we’ll make sure you have enough room.
